The Golden State Warriors are shooting their way into the record books.
With a 118-105 win over the Nuggets Sunday night, the Warriors, led by Stephen Curry, have started the season with 15 straight wins, tying the NBA record.
Here’s a look at the best season starts in history around the four major sports:
1982 Atlanta Braves, 13-0
Led by center fielder Dale Murphy and starting pitcher Phil Niekro, the Joe Torre-helmed Braves came out of the gate strong with 13 straight wins against the Padres, Astros and Reds.
They lost Game 14 2-1 to the Reds and finished the season 89-73 in first place atop the NL West.
The Braves’ season ended when St. Louis swept them 3-0.
1987 Milwaukee Brewers, 13-0
Just five years after the Braves started so hot, the then-American League Brewers did the same, beginning the 1987 season 13-0 against the Red Sox, Rangers, Orioles and White Sox before losing 7-1 to Chicago.
But outfielder Robin Yount and infielder Paul Molitor weren’t enough to keep the winning alive and the Brewers finished 91-71, third in the AL East.

2007 New England Patriots, 18-0
Looking for their sixth AFC East division win in seven years, the 2007 Patriots did just that, and then some.
The Tom Brady-led team swept the regular season 16-0, beat the Jaguars in the 31-20 in the divisional round and the Chargers 21-12 in the AFC Championship.
But a perfect season eluded the Patriots and they lost 17-14 to the Giants in the Super Bowl.
1972 Miami Dolphins, 17-0
Don Shula’s 1972 Dolphins have kept their record alive for more than 40 years: the only perfect season in history.
In just their third season in the NFL, Bob Griese and the Dolphins went 14-0 through in the regular season and then rattled off wins against the Browns and Steelers in the playoffs before beating Washington in Super Bowl VII.
1993-94 Toronto Maple Leafs, 10-0
The first team in NHL history to do so, the Maple Leafs started the 1993-1994 season with 10 straight wins, but couldn’t maintain that momentum and won just 33 of their final 74 games.
They finished 33-29-12 in second place in the Central Division and lost in the Conference Final (for the second consecutive year) to the Canucks in five games.

2006-07 Buffalo Sabres, 10-0
The Sabres’ 10-0 streak is considered less impressive than the Maple Leafs’ by virtue of how they won: three of Buffalo’s first 10 wins were in shootouts, games which would have ended in a tie just a few years prior.
After losing Game 11 in a shootout to the Atlanta Thrashers, Buffalo finished the season 53-22-7 atop the Northeast Division.
They won the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals 4-1 over the Islanders, beat the Rangers 4-2 in the semifinals and then lost 4-1 to the Senators in the finals.
1948-49 Washington Capitols, 15-0
Before the NBA was formed, coach Red Auerbach led the Capitols to a 15-0 start in the Basketball Association of America.
The Capitols finished the year 38-22 before losing to the Mineapolis Lakers in the 1949 BAA Finals.
1993-1994 Houston Rockets 15-0
Forty-five years later, Houston followed up the Capitols by also opening the season 15-0, this time in the NBA.
Hakeem Olajuwon and the Rockets finished atop the Midwest Division with a 58-24 record, beat the Trail Blazers 3-1 in the Western Conference First Round, beat the Suns 4-3 in the conference semifinals, beat the Jazz 4-1 in the conference finals and beat the Knicks 4-3 in the NBA Finals.
