Pizza belongs on a plate — a white paper plate and eaten at a place like Lee’s Tavern on Staten Island, Artichoke on 10th Avenue, Pizza Wagon in Bay Ridge or any other joint you like — not in your Bloody Mary.

Not. In. Your. Bloody. Mary.

The bonkers ballpark food trend has spread to Minnesota, where the Twins will be serving up bloodies garnished with, of all things, a slice of pizza. A cardboard-looking slice at that.

The “College Daze Bloody Mary” will set you back $19 at Target Field and includes additional accoutrement.

The exclamation point-filled description of the drink reads:

“This Bloody Mary will bring back the memories (or not)! This cool Bloody Mary gets a cold slice of Pepperoni Pizza which is just what you need with a Bloody Mary! If that wasn’t enough you also get all the other fixings! Beef Stick, Pepper Jack and Cheddar Cheese Cubes, Pepperoncini, Olive, Celery, & a Pickle Spear. Served with a Bud Light Beer Back.”

The drink will be sold at Hrbek’s Pub, a restaurant named after former Twins first baseman Kent Hrbek inside Target Field.

The Minnesota State Fair is known for its off-the-wall food choices — they serve spaghetti and meatball on a stick — so perhaps this idea was hatched there.
