A man grabbed a woman from behind and attempted to rape her on a Brooklyn street near Prospect Park early Sunday, cops said.

The 34-year-old victim sought help at a nearby Windsor Terrace home after fending off the creep around 3:45 a.m., according to a police source.

The sicko wrestled the young woman onto the sidewalk near 586 16th St., about one block from Prospect Park’s southwest entrance.

The woman kicked and flailed in a desperate attempt to ward off the suspect as he tugged at her dress and underwear, as seen in disturbing surveillance footage of the assault.

The would-be rapist repeatedly punched the struggling victim until he finally stormed off after growing “frustrated,” police said.

The victim went to the nearby residence and called 911, but later refused medical attention, authorities added.

Police with the 72nd Precinct described the suspect as a white male in his 20s or 30s, with curly black hair. He is about 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and slacks.

It’s unclear if the encounter is linked to any prior sexual assaults in the area.

The incident follows two attempted rapes in Park Slope in both April and May. A female jogger fought off a knife-toting would-be rapist in Prospect Park near Garfield Place on April 20 and another attacker groped a woman along Seventh Ave. in Park Slope in May.

Anyone with information about Sunday’s attempted rape is asked to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
