The “Sorry” singer has issued another apology.
Justin Bieber extended a mea culpa to “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert early Tuesday morning for canceling mere hours before he was scheduled to appear on the late-night show.
“My apologies to @colbertlateshow as I won’t be able to make it to nyc tomorrow for the show,” the singer tweeted. “I look forward to making it up to you soon.”
Though the pop star didn’t elaborate on his last-minute cancellation, he intimated that the motivation was personal in a cryptic tweet sent directly to the host.
“@StephenAtHome thank you for the understanding as sometimes life kicks our a– and we need to deal with it. I will see u soon. Thank you,” he wrote.
Bieber was scheduled to appear on Tuesday’s show to plug his new album, “Purpose.” Director Spike Lee and “You’re So Vain” singer Carly Simon are also slated to appear.
The 21-year-old singer additionally axed his Thanksgiving Day Parade headlining performance — also airing on CBS — which he was set to tape Tuesday evening in New York City, Entertainment Tonight reports.
Bieber’s backing out is due to an emotional rollercoaster brought on by “personal issues,” sources told TMZ. The issues reportedly have no basis in drugs or alcohol.
The singer, who this week broke a Billboard Hot 100 record previously held by The Beatles, has doled out his fair share of apologies this month — including to former UFC champion Ronda Rousey for dissing her sister and to his fans in Oslo, Norway for storming offstage after just one song.
He spent the past weekend singing “My Girl” to his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez at a hotel bar, partying the night away with socialite Kylie Jenner and closing out Sunday’s American Music Awards with a forceful performance.
Reps for Bieber and CBS have not yet returned the Daily News’ request for comment.
