The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.

Kingston

* Criminal contempt/obstruction of breathing: James M. VanValkenburg, 34, of Elmendorf Street, Kingston, was arrested by Kingston police Sunday after a fight with a woman at the Kingston Point Beach and charged with felony criminal contempt for violating an order of protection; the misdemeanor of obstruction of breathing; and harassment, a violation. VanValkenburg was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Cairo

* Endangering: Brittany L. Didomenico, 33, of Cairo, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 10:45 p.m. Tuesday in Cairo and charged with two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest. Didomenico was held at the Greene County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Hunter

* DWI: Ingmar Plostnieks, 55, of North Wales, Penn., was arrested by state police at Catskill at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday on Klein Avenue in Hunter and charged with the misdemeanors of drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving and with failing to dim headlights, an infraction. Plostnieks was released with tickets for Hunter Town Court.

Jewett

* Grand larceny: Dylan J. Johnson, 20, of Grand Gorge in the town of Roxbury, was arrested by Greene County Sheriff’s deputies at about 2 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of state Route 23A and county Route 17 in Jewett and charged with grand larceny, a felony. Johnson’s arrest followed investigation of a reportedly stolen truck, police said. Johnson was sent to the Greene County Jail without bail.

Saugerties

* Drugs: Samantha J. O’Brien, 25, of 202 New Salem Road, Kingston, was arrested by Saugerties police on Sunday at a pavilion next to the toddler playground in the Cantine Field Complex in Saugerties and charged her with the misdemeanors of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. Police said a passing patron of the playground saw O’Brien shooting heroin in the bathroom and notified security who then called police. Police found O’Brien was in possession of Suboxone, heroin and several hypodermic needles, they said. O’Brien was released with tickets for Saugerties Town Court.

Woodstock

* Burglary/conspiracy: Skye B. Parisi, 35, of Saugerties, was arrested by Woodstock police on Sunday and charged with burglary, conspiracy and criminal mischief, all felonies, and with misdemeanor assault. In a related arrest on Wednesday, Sebastian B. Shepherd, 32, of West Shokan, was also charged with felony counts of burglary, conspiracy and criminal mischief along with harassment, a violation. Parisi and Shepherd were sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
