In a new interview, there’s one topic Taylor Swift is keeping quiet about.
The “Style” singer recently chatted with The Telegraph where she decided not to talk about Katy Perry.
“I’m not giving them anything to write about,” she said in the interview. “I’m not walking up the street with boys, I’m not stumbling out of clubs drunk. But I’m never going to talk about her in my interview. It’s not going to happen.”
Perry, on the other hand, shared her opinion about parts her and other chart-toppers play in the world of celebrity just last month.
“You’ve got to name someone the villain, someone the princess, someone the mom-, the dad-type — you know, there always have to be characters,” she explained in a recent interview with Elle. “As pop figures, we’re all characters. And the media uses that. Who is the sweetheart, who is the villain? You know. Taylor’s the sweetheart. Kanye’s the villain. That’s the narrative.”
However, Swift was more willing to open up about her friendships with folks like Lena Dunham, Lorde, Karlie Kloss and Jaime King. King recently named the singer the godmother to her second child.
“The thing about my girlfriends right now is that none of them needs me for anything other than friendship,” she said. “I love the fact that they are all passionate about their jobs, whatever their jobs are. A lot of celebrity-type people have this group of people around them where their friends’ main priority is them, and they feel comfortable with that dynamic. I don’t feel comfortable with that dynamic.”

In addition to chatting about her relationships with the women in her life, she’s also revealed that in the next five years she’s not sure she’ll find time for love.
‘I’ll be 30. I’ll probably still be single, let’s be honest. No one’s going to sign up for this and everything that goes with it. Like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you, want a date? Do you love camera flashes? I hope you do!’ I don’t know what’s going to happen if I’m ever content in a relationship – no idea how that’s going to work,” she said. “I don’t even know if that’s possible with the life I have.”
She also notes that she’s not rushing to record her follow-up to 2014’s massive 1989.
“I’m not going to put out an album until I’ve made one that’s better than this one and that’s going to be really hard,” she noted.
