Special Investigation; reassigned as Detective

Indianapolis, IN- Recently, Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter transferred Trooper Ginger Marshall to Special Investigations, Area V, to serve as a detective in the Criminal Investigation Division. Marshall was selected after competing in a stringent written and oral interview process.

Marshall is a native of Seymour, Indiana and a 1993 graduate of Seymour High School. She attended Ball State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science in 1997.

Marshall began her law enforcement career in 2008 upon graduation from the 69th Indiana State Police Academy. She was assigned to the Indianapolis Post and patrolled Marion County. She also served as a recruit counselor for the 73rd Indiana State Police Academy and was serving as a recruit counselor at the current 74th ISP Academy until her recent promotion.

Detective Marshall’s primary responsibility is to investigate internet crimes against children.

Detective Marshall resides in Hendricks County.
