Ever wish you were in New York? If you're dreaming of swapping the bustle of Oxford Street for (albeit still bustling) Fifth Avenue, then one of the Big Apple's oldest brands is at hand to help you do just that.

Tiffany & Co's new Fifth and 57th installation, named after the location of its most famous store, at the Old Selfridges Hotel (on Orchard Street just next to Selfridges Food Hall) brings together all the signature New York elements - from subway stations and yellow cabs to Central Park and Fifth Avenue's shops - for an experience that is pure New York.

A staggering 1,837 crisp white Tiffany boxes (chosen to mark the year of the company's inception) are stacked and used as a background for light projections of the famed shopping street - including the setting sun seen at the end of Fifth Avenue, and known as "Manhattan-henge".

Explore the space - which features a tranquil Central Park magnolia tree (perfect for proposals with a Tiffany gem and complete with its own twittering bird soundscape); one of the brand's master engravers (who has travelled from NY and offers his services free of charge to anyone purchasing a Tiffany item during the installation); and even a real speakeasy called Charlie's Bar (in honour of founder Charles Lewis Tiffany) where visitors can relax with a cold drink before facing the two-minute journey back to London.

Unveiled today, the installation - which celebrates Tiffany & Co's new store within Selfridges - will be open to the public from July 3 to 5, and again from July 8 to 12. A little longer than a New York minute (which, you'll discover, Tiffany invented), but not much, so catch it before it's gone.
