LinkedIn Students Helps Soon-to-Be Grads Prepare for the Job Market

iOS/Android: Navigating the job market can be intimidating for recent grads, so it can’t hurt to get a head start. LinkedIn recently released a new app to help students prepare for life after graduation with customized job recommendations and advice.

The app customizes career advice based on your major and college. You tell it about your background, either manually or through your profile, and the app scans its database to find professionals that went to your college and graduated with a degree in your major. It will also suggest specific employers that hire from your school, telling you how much salary you can expect to earn, along with other details about that particular role.

Via their blog, LinkedIn announced:

Today, LinkedIn unveils the first-of-its-kind LinkedIn Students app available for

iOS

and

Android

, tailored specifically for soon-to-be college graduates looking to answer these very questions. Using insights from LinkedIn’s database of over 400 million professionals, the brand new app helps you discover jobs that are a best fit for graduates with your major, companies that tend to hire from your school and the careers paths of recent alumni with similar degrees.

Beyond the customized tips, you’ll also get general career advice and tips. Check it out at the link below.
