Opec keeps oil output at current rate

Members of the world's 12 largest oil producing nations agreed to keep oil production at current levels.

The oil price has fallen steadily this year, bringing relief to oil-hungry nations but putting pressure on some of the oil producing countries themselves as their oil earnings slumped.

Following the announcement Brent crude fell further, below $72 a barrel, hitting lows previously seen in August 2010.

How will the decision affect Asia?

The BBC's Andrew Walker reports from the meeting in Vienna.
