Cruising: Why I Love It

“If I can do it, you can do it.”  That’s been my motto since I began traveling as a career and passion 15 years ago.  I’ve experienced all kinds of travel from Luxury 5 star resorts to hiking to remote villages in Vietnam to spending the night on a frozen lake with no tent just a sleeping bag.

I like luxury travel. Who wouldn’t?  What I don’t like is that most travelers can’t afford it.  But there are travel companies that make luxury accessible and that’s what brought me to Carnival Cruise Lines.

Luxury is not just champagne service and 5 to 800 count sheets.  For me luxury is time.  Being able to spend time with your children, grandchildren, best friends since high school-you name it.  That’s why I love a cruise.  It gets many over-scheduled and under-rested people together and allows them to simply focus on being in the moment with the ones they love (and possibly finishing that novel that’s been sitting on your bedside table for 6 months).  You don’t have to worry about where you are going to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner or how you are going to get from point A to B.

Heck, you don’t even have to make your bed.

On any Carnival cruise, there are thousands of crew members making sure every minute of your journey and vacation is smooth sailing.  Doesn’t that make you feel good?  It does me.

I’ve been on 11 cruises and I would say all of the cruise lines do this very well, but none of them makes a cruise experience as affordable and accessible to everyone like Carnival.  There are still people who wonder if a cruise is for them and that’s understandable, it’s a very different way to vacation and it’s that very difference that people enjoy the most.  But it’s good to have questions and that’s why I was asked to help create a fun, visual, and informative YouTube series that answers the most basic and yet most frequently asked questions, so you can decide for yourself.

Hope to see you soon on a cruise,

Samantha

  1. I love Carnival! Have been on three other lines. Carnival means we can sail more often. Did I mention that I love Carnival?

  2. I prefer Holland America, Cunard, and Celebrity lines. Carnival is too much of a party boat for my taste. Also, too many kids. Not my thing.

  3. Wish I could have talked to you on HSN! Such a sucker for your luggage LOLOL I got the aqua ombré spinner, doc tote and 25″, plus underseater!!! Thank you !!! Sooooo many compliments from men and women!! Can’t wait to travel this year plus a vacay next year which I’ll need your advice in which luggage to bring, it’s a BIG trip!!!

  4. I love to cruise and I highly recommend it! However, I cannot recommend Carvinal Cruise Lines. The one and only time I cruised with them there were hundreds of young people who thought it was a booze cruise. You could not escape them. I had the displeasure of watching crew members clean up vomit on seven different occasions. There were fights among the young people as to who had which sun chair and I never even got close enough to any of the swimming pools to enjoy them.
