'Jessica Jones': A Day in the Life of Marvel's Newest Hero

UPDATE: Netflix has released yet another trailer, this one featuring the voice of Jessica Jones’ villain, played by Doctor Who’s David Tennant, above.

Ever wonder how a superhero spends his or her day when they’re not avenging evil? Netflix is providing us with a peek behind the costumed curtain with their hilarious series of trailers for Jessica Jones, the newest Marvel hero to make the leap from the comic book page to the screen.

The ongoing campaign started on Sept. 26 with the above video, which revealed what time the hero-turned-private eye title character (played by Krysten Ritter) typically wakes up from her beauty rest…at 2:59 p.m.? The teaser revealed additional details about her post-superhero life, namely that she enjoys liquor and that her super-strength is still very much in effect.

Trailer No. 2 checks back in with Jessica at 7:54 p.m., when she’s in a seedy bar rocking out to a little Joan Jett. And can you blame her for cranking up the tunes after apparently pulverizing the establishment’s male clientele?

That brings us up to 11:57 p.m. in the latest teaser, which premiered on Oct. 6, four days before the show’s star-studded panel at the New York Comic Con. After her detour into the bar, Jessica is now strolling down one of the many dark alleyways that populate Hell’s Kitchen, a neighborhood that’s also home to a certain blind vigilante. Looking up, she spots the window of her office, Alias Investigations, and opts to fly up to the fire escape rather than use the stairs. We can hardly wait to see what happens at 2:47 a.m. Maybe lunchtime?
