Birmingham-based intellectual property specialists Forresters has promoted Kirsty Gallagher to the role of marketing and business development manager.

Ms Gallagher, from Dorridge, will be leading the firm’s business development activity as well as maintaining and enhancing current client relationships.

The new role is an extension to her previous marketing remit, and as well as the Birmingham office she will continue to develop and implement marketing and new business strategies for the firm’s Liverpool and London offices.

Ms Gallagher, a CIM qualified marketer, has been with Forresters for four years and is also a member of the West Midlands Professional Marketing Forum.

She said: “Having helped establish a robust CRM system as well as being heavily involved with events and networking for the firm, it was a logical next step to make business development a significant focus of my role.”

Birmingham office partner Matt Shaw said: “Kirsty plays a vital role, and we have been enormously impressed with her grasp of being able to project our business ethos whilst at the same time using the many modern methods at our disposal to spread our message. We’re delighted she is taking this next step to bring that skillset to business development.”
