Watch the skies on Fri Mar 20 as Manchester and much of the rest of the UK gets plunged into darkness by an eclipse the like of which we haven't had since 1999.

Estimates suggest that up to 90% of the light from the sun will be blocked out between around 8.30am to 10.30am.

There won't be another like it until 2026, but you'll have jump ship to Scandinavia if you want to see the total eclipse... Sing it, go on, its already in your head.

The Museum of Science and Industry is having a free drop in day of activity centred around the eclipse.
