Contact those tv stations and ask them to correct the time they are transmitting on their over the air channel.

By pressing the MENU key on the remote and selecting the Time Setting option, you will be able to set the correct time and time zone.

Nothing - buy another box and leave EACH box on the station you want to record. There's no internal clock, so it relies on the clock in the TV/Antenna signal. If that's wrong, only the TV station broadcasting it can fix it.

Try programming directly using the "timer" button on the remote rather than the EPG. Be aware that the clock is 24 hour format; for example, 9:00pm is 12+9=2100.

The only thing wrong here is that you have to turn on the daylight savings time in the menu section , this will correct the problem. When I set up to record channels I had not turned on the daylight savings time function and my programs were off. After I set the daylight savings time to on, it recorded all my shows at the right time.

In Denver they start prime time a few minutes early to get higher advertising rates.
You are stuck with that if they do that in your area.
They will not adjust their time.

first, just web search what your time zone is as compared to GMT time. The clock setting will ask you to pick from a list. I am in central time so my time setting is GMT-6. (Greenwich Mean Time minus 6 hours)

if it is wrong in the info area that the tv station does for description of the shows, it is a problem with the tv station. I have used antenna tv since it came out and see this happen pretty often. You just set for when you know it is the right time. They usually fix it by the next day but you can always call the tv station and complain that they have the time wrong so they know it is irritating someone.

Make sure your time zone and daylight savings settings are correct. Use EPG and edit the program or directly input using Timer . Add 5 minutes before and after, i.e an 8pm to 10pm program set recording for 19:55 to 22:05.

I tune into one of the PBS channels. They send a signal and most units will pickup the correct time and date within a few seconds.

You should remove the plastic shipping cover ASAP. Its only for protection until it reaches the owner. The longer you leave it on, the harder it will be to remove. That sticker on the side is just an inspection sticker, and was placed on the machine when it was approved for sale. All machines like this one are going to get hot because they take in a lot of energy. If you have ever had a cable box, you may have probably noticed that they get even hotter.

Yes, pick that stuff off, and you will have a nice looking converter box. The converters should feel cool to the touch, so the shrink wrap is making the converters hot. The half of the sticker that is on the actual box is really hard to remove, but the shrink wrap comes right off.

Maybe I didn't read it correctly, but I thought the round sticker on mine said to remove the shrink rapping.

I took it off, doesn't hurt the unit at all. I think it might improve ventilation a tad. If you're worried about keeping the sticker you could just cut the plastic around the sticker.

Remove the shrink wrap. It is important to leave vent holes open. I did not worry about the sticker, but if you are, then try cutting around it.

The ticker IS supposed to be removed. It may be a good idea to keep it in a file, but it should be removed from the unit.

Yes mine too. It can be removed and I recommend it as the unit gets hot and needs to ventilate. The warning sticker is just there so you don&#39;t try to open it and fiddle with the insides.

If you remove the shrink wrap you also remove the "Warranty Void if this sticker is removed" sticker as it is applied over the shrink wrap.  However if you leave the shrink wrap on the unit will very shortly burn itself up.  Avoid this product.

It will scan for digital TV channels in your area, so it is a function of your location & your antenna. If you use

I have an indoor antenna, so I will never get all of the channels. If you have an large outdoor you will pick up the most channels.

Note for with an indoor antenna, location and orientation does matter.

That would depend on where you live, I think. We get seven, and are out in the country, not in an urban area. I think a couple are repeats, though.

that depends on many things, your antenna , how many stations broadcast in your area, and your particular location. In my area I get 65 digital channels from Phoenix but just five miles from me two or three is doing good. Potentially the unit can receive 68 stations and each station can have 6 channels but no area will have that many stations.

I think that depends on what is available over the air where you are. We get abc, nbc, cbs, wvia (pbs) and wolf (56). NBC and CBS are often broken in reception due maybe to our antenna. Wolf and WVIA have 3 subchannels each. and ABC has 2. The converter receives the signal and transfers it to your tv.

The amount of channels you will receive will depend on the available channels in your local area after a scan is done.
