For 27 years, the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri (EDCKC) has served as a catalyst to attract, retain and grow businesses and jobs for the city. An annual event, the EDC Cornerstone Awards, was established to recognize those companies and projects that have contributed most to the overall growth of the city’s economy and we’ve had more than one Martin City business recognized!
Bambini Creativ, Midwest Mechanical Contractors, Hangers Cleaners, Infinite Energy Construction, Martin City Brewing Company and Martin City Pizza & Tap Room are all past Cornerstone nominees, with the Tap Room most recently recognized at the May 2014 awards reception at Union Station.
Cornerstone Award finalists provide economic stimulus to the city of KCMO and our Martin City businesses are no exception. Their projects have spurred new construction and redevelopment and created much-needed jobs in our district. They represent our growing community and enhance the Community Improvement District’s (CID) reputation, which will help us attract more businesses in the future.
We would like to congratulate the ones responsible for so much growth over the past few years and look forward to congratulating many more Martin City businesses in the years to come!
