A stray cat named Jubilee after being discovered in a London Underground station has been given a new home.

The cat enjoyed being pampered by Tube staff while she kept them company during their shifts at Acton Town.

She was eventually taken to the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in Berkshire.

A Battersea spokesperson said it was "not every day" a cat found in the London Underground was brought to them.

New owner Lisa Blackmoor, who runs a livery yard in Ryde on the Isle of Wight, said: "She meets me every morning and sits on the stable doors when I come to feed the horses - she follows me everywhere.

"She's doing a great job of catching mice and is even the boss of my three Jack Russell terriers."
