My name is Garrett Stovall and I just turned  37 in February. I have been married to my best friend for almost 5 years now. We live in a small town in central Kentucky with our 2 dogs, Dakota and Navi. My wife is a 5th grade teacher and designer and I am a.........

Fabricator, welder, husband, artist, friend, plumber, carpenter, dreamer, landscaper, achiever, mechanic, electrician, problem solver, innovator.... you get the point, I am a lot of things. I have held numerous positions in many fields of skill and have an excellent ability to perform all of them, but through it all the one thing that has brought me joy is creating something with my hands and seeing the range of emotions that it can create with other people.

I started working with wood at a young age while hanging out with my grandfather in his wood shop. He not only taught me how to make furniture and cabinetry, but he also taught me the value of hard work, attention to detail and determination. Those values have been at my core ever since. I am no stranger to hard work, often working 50+ hours straight to make sure that a project gets done and done right. I am determined, I have been knocked down and reduced to nothing, but I came back wiser and stronger. I want to be the best that I can be. I am a self-taught welder, fabricator, and artist. I want to bring my love of welding and my love of wood working together. But I can't do that without your help. You see, for the past few years I have been honing my skills as a metal artist and fabricator in my garage. It is a very small garage, only 500 square feet, leaving me very little room for tools, materials or to even work in.

I have rented a new shop that is about 40 miles from my home.  I have about 1700sqft and it is clean and well lit. I have spent the past few months setting it up.  I have built a 2nd floor showroom and office.  Moved all of my equipment in and got it wired up and ready to go.  I just need to upgrade my equipment to a better quality so that I can produce the best possible product for my customers.  I have put everything that I have into getting this shop up and running.  I was going to do what I didnt want to do.... Sell my truck, to fund the rest of this shop.  I had a buyer lined up and he was supposed to buy my truck in 4 days.  But last night, on my way home, I got into an accident and totaled my truck.  I only had liability insurance on it, so now my funding is a pile of scrap.  My money for better equipment is gone.  I need your help to get the equipment so that I can keep my dream alive.  My wife has a lot of drawings of custom furniture, art and light fixtures drawn up, but I need the funding to get these projets off the ground and to get the equipment to make these products.

Thanks for taking the time to look through this.  I hope that you like the items and projects that I have made and that you can help me in some way.  Even if you can donate a dollar to me it will help me to keep my dream alive! I will use all funds raised to purchase new equipment and for operating capital.I will ship out all of the rewards by the end of July.
