Hey ‘The Wire’ Fans! You Could Have Senator Clay Davis Say “Sheeeeeit” Whenever You Want

The Wire, which audiences and critics alike consider to be the greatest television drama of all time, said goodbye to the airwaves in 2008, but it has gained one of the strongest, most obsessive fan followings in television history. One fan in particular, Richard Hine, took his love for the Baltimore-based crime drama to the next level by launching a Kickstarter campaign dedicated to custom Senator Clay Davis bobbleheads.

These bobbleheads don’t just bobble, however. They say three variations of Senator Davis’ token line from the show: “Sheeeeeeeee-iit.” According to Isiah Whitlock, Jr., who played Davis on the show and helped with the promotion of the campaign, “For years, I’ve been doing everything I can to help people out when they need to here me say ‘sheeeeeeeee-iit.'” Well, soon you’ll be able to hear your favorite corrupt senator whenever your heart desires ranging from “Sheeeeeeeee-iit,” to “Ha-ha, you don’t know sheeeeeeeee-iit,” and, finally, “Mhm, sheeeeeeeee-iit.” The crowd-sourced project has already surpassed its $12,500 goal by over $40,000, and there are still 23 days to go.
