EMMA WATSON has stepped up her campaign for gender equality by announcing that she will host a live event in London this Sunday, to raise awareness for her HeForShe initiative - and she wants you to get involved.
"I hope you'll join me on Sunday March 8 at 1PM NYC/5PM London-time for a conversation about HeForShe and gender equality, live on Facebook," Watson wrote on her Facebook page. The announcement sat alongside an accompanying video of the actress explaining the event and thanking her fans and supporters for their commitment to the cause.
"Thank you so much for all of your support and participation so far," she said. "It's been absolutely amazing, and an amazing adventure, journey and experience for me. So thank you, thank you. You guys are awesome."
Watson first launched the UN initiative HeForShe last September at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, and has been vocal about the "overwhelming" response that she has received in the time since.
