If you’re a Tinder-user over the age of 25, you’ve maybe experienced a moment or two of worry about whether you’re older than the average person swiping for love.

However, that didn’t stop Lori Levine, a 46-year-old New Yorker who is a celebrity talent booker for corporate events. A recent New York Times profile explains that having divorced at 32, Levine had found professional success but an unfulfilling romantic life – and then she met her match on Tinder.

Soon, Levine was swiping left and right with the best of us, and the ensuing chats with Jan van Arsdale, a handsome, 49-year-old financier, quickly led to texts and phone calls and then an actual, in-person date in August of 2013. Van Arsdale was the second man she’d ever met off of Tinder.

By New Year’s Day 2015, the two wed in a New York ceremony that featured Fran Drescher giving a toast at the reception. That’s right; it all happened thanks to Tinder – and two adults making the decision to swipe onwards regardless of the age of the average Tinder-er.

In an essay for xoJane, Levine said she feels no shame for having met her husband on a hookup app. “It makes me happy we met on Tinder, honestly. I don’t get these people who want to lie and tell people some made-up story of how they met. I say it with pride. Why take everything so seriously?”

And yes, as the New York Times notes, they mutually decided to delete the app as a symbol of their commitment.
