Here are five reasons never to challenge Lars Andersen to an archery contest

It seems that every other action movie these days features at least one massively skilled archer -- Legolas, Katniss, Hawkeye and so on. Bows are undoubtedly cool, but after doing a little research into how they were used in real combat, Danish archer Lars Andersen has taken archery to the next level:

Here's why you should never throw down with your bow down when Andersen is your opponent:

1. He can shoot much, much faster than you can.

We're talking three arrows in less than a second. You can barely get three words out, and already you're three arrows behind.

2. He can shoot while moving.

And not just walking or running. Andersen hits the bull's-eye on roller skates, while jumping, and while being driven on the back of a motorcycle.

3. He's ambowdextrous

That means he can shoot with both hands. We apologize for that pun. It was pretty lame.

4. He can catch arrows

We do not recommend attempting to catch an arrow at home. That seems like a surefire way to go to the hospital with an arrow injury. For Andersen? No big deal.

5. He can shoot arrows out of the air

Even if you do manage to get the drop on him, Andersen will just knock your arrow out of the air with almost contemptuous ease.

We can't imagine that any of these skills would come in handy in the course of everyday life, but if they do, Lars Andersen is more than ready.
