Beyoncé’s “Formation” lines up a No. 2 debut on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart dated Feb. 20 following its surprise release on Feb. 6. The song becomes the superstar’s seventh top 10 entry and highest-charting title among 15 songs, besting the No. 3 peak of “7/11” the week of Dec. 4, 2013. (Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks began in May 2014.)

Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks is a weekly ranking of the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the U.S., ranked by the volume of shares over a seven-day period (Monday to Sunday). The most recent chart’s tracking week ended on Feb. 7.

A day after “Formation’s” release, she performed it live on the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 7 alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. Immediately after, the singer announced the Formation World Tour, which begins April 27 in Miami. The whirlwind of activity generated 95,000 Twitter mentions for Queen Bey for the tracking week ending Feb. 7, according to Next Big Sound, up 113 percent.

Just above Beyoncé, Zayn reigns at No. 1 for a second week with his debut solo single, “Pillowtalk.” The track concurrently debuts atop the Billboard Hot 100, only the 25th such start in the chart’s 57-year history, buoyed by 22 million U.S. streams in its debut frame (the week ending Feb. 4, according to Nielsen Music.)

“Pillowtalk” previews the former One Direction member’s first solo album, Mind of Mine, due March 25.

Plus, Zendaya collects her first chart entry as a lead artist on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks list as “Something New,” featuring Chris Brown, debuts at No. 14. The cut, which includes a sample of TLC’s 1995 Hot 100 No. 1 hit, “Creep,” was released to iTunes on Feb. 3, two days ahead of schedule.

“New” may preview the singer’s upcoming sophomore album, which follows her 2013 self-titled debut. The new single release prompted 49,000 Twitter mentions for the singer on the platform in the week ending Feb. 7, according to Next Big Sound (a gain of 122 percent).

Meanwhile, Future launches three chart debuts, all from his Evol album: “Low Life” (featuring The Weeknd, No. 22), “Fly S**t Only” (No. 28) and “In Abundance” (No. 33). The set was released as an Apple Music exclusive on Feb. 5 following its premiere on DJ Khaled’s Beats 1 radio show, “We The Best Radio.” Evol’s arrival sparks 119,000 Twitter mentions for the week, a burst of 328 percent.

Evol looks off to a promising start – the set is headed for a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 dated Feb. 27, to become Future’s third chart-topping album in seven months.
