Trump aide accidentally reveals plan to attack Hillary on Whitewater

Donald Trump wants to attack Hillary Clinton over the over the decades-old shady Whitewater real estate deal — a strategy inadvertently revealed when one of his top aides spilled the beans in an email sent to the wrong person.

Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks disclosed the plan when she sent an email detailing Team Trump’s intentions to Marc Caputo, a reporter for Politico, when she meant to send it to Trump campaign adviser Michael Caputo.

Her response was part of a chain that originated when Michael Caputo messaged a Republican National Committee researcher asking him to “work up information on HRC/Whitewater as soon as possible,” Politico reported Wednesday.

Hicks, who was copied on the email, replied that the researcher, Michael Abboud, “is still an employee of the RNC,” signaling that he planned to join the Trump campaign.

“We need to be sensitive to that until he comes over to our team full time,” Hicks’ email said.

Since Trump had already slimed Clinton over her horndog hubby’s serial philandering, and revived conspiracy theories about the death of former Clinton aide Vince Foster, the decision to bring up Whitewater likely came as no surprise to Clinton’s campaign, despite Hicks’ blunder.

Whitewater involved a controversy over the Clintons’ real estate development through a company they founded called the Whitewater Development Corporation.

Bill Clinton at the time allegedly used his influence as Arkansas governor to get a $300,000 loan to the Clintons’ business partner in the deal.

The matter was investigated, but the Clintons were never charged.
