It has been almost two years since we have heard new music from The Voice Season 4 winner Danielle Bradbery, but in an announcement via social media on Monday, the country singer let her fans know that the wait is almost over.

Her new single, "Friend Zone," will be made available this Friday (August 28), the same day labelmates Maddie & Tae release their first full-length album, Start Here. If you've seen Bradbery in concert before, you'll recognize the tune. She's been playing at tour stops recently, including at this year's CMA Fest.

This sassy anthem is different from previous singles released from the 19-year-old. "The Heart of Dixie" and "Young in America" played it safe, keeping with her sweeter-than-sugar image. "Friend Zone" hints at an edgier future for the young entertainer, however. The girl-power hit is soaked in sass and oozes attitude. The song also features a mix of rap as well as rock, breaking the rising star out of her good-girl mold. It's always refreshing to see different sides of artists, and so far we love what Bradbery is teasing.

There is no word on when a new album will be released to follow up the single, and Bradbery doesn't have any tour plans as of right now, but she will be playing a couple of shows in Washington this October.
