During a Reddit AMA last week, MMA fighter Ronda Rousey revealed her interest in playing Captain Marvel in the live-action film coming in 2018. Since then, she’s been promoting fan-made art of herself in character to give us all an idea of what this casting would look like.

“Since the Reddit AMA I’ve received so many badass Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel edits,” she wrote on Instagram. “There were so many cool ones I couldn’t pick just one to share.”

Carol Danvers, aka Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel, will take the spotlight in her own standalone film in Marvel Studios’ Phase Three. Fans have been crying out for a female superhero movie since Scarlett Johansson made Black Widow a standout character. With her pre-established popularity, Danvers, the Air Force Major with half-Kree, half-human genes, quickly rose to the forefront of this conversation.

“A lot of the good [superheroes] have been taken,” Rousey said during the Reddit AMA, “but I’d like to vie for Miss Marvel!” Katheryn Winnick of Vikings, Emily Blunt of Edge of Tomorrow, and Bryce Dallas Howard of Jurassic World are among the other actresses who spoke about their interest in playing the character. Marvel has yet to announce anyone in the role.

Captain Marvel is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 2, 2018, joining other Phase Three films as Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. Check out the fan art of Rousey in costume below.
