London based character design and animation studio receives a commission from Channel 5’s Milkshake to produce its new CG-animated comedy series.
London-based character design and animation studio Absolutely Cuckoo announced its commission from Channel 5’s Milkshake to produce its animated comedy series, Dave’s Dinosaurs. The CG-animated series is aimed at 4-6 year-olds.
The series is about a young boy named Dave, whose life is changed forever the day he pushes his last coin into the “Pre-historic Picker” in the penny arcade, and six bizarre looking eggs come tumbling down the chute. Dave decides to take them home and two days later, the strange eggs suddenly hatch and Dave instantaneously becomes a proud dad of six baby dinosaurs. Dave’s new found responsibilities, result in a plethora of comical events as he endeavors to keep his new Jurassic friends safe when they “hit” the town in the only way dinosaurs know how, leaving chaos in their wake.
“Dinosaurs are an extremely popular topic and an endless source of fascination for children everywhere,” comments Absolutely Cuckoo co-founder Dan Good. “It’s every child’s dream of finding a real life dinosaur so we wanted to play on the comical aspect of the realities of a child bringing up a gang of baby dinosaurs in the 21st Century.”
