A Beekman man was arrested after he allegedly shot at another person from a blank-firing replica handgun, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Nue Lleshaj, 33, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor, in connection to the dispute.

On Sunday at 4:30 a.m., deputies were called to Lleshaj’s Pine Street house in Beekman for a report of shots fired.

Lleshaj had been involved in a dispute with a man and woman, and during the dispute, Lleshaj allegedly fired two rounds at the man from a blank-firing replica handgun that he had in his house, police said. No one was injured and the replica handgun was recovered at the scene.

Lleshaj was arraigned in Town of Beekman Court and sent to Dutchess County Jail on a $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond bail, police said.

He’s set to reappear in court on Dec. 11.
