If you thought that the highly addictive game Crossy Road would be more fun if you get to play with others, think again. Or if you thought that the game couldn’t get any more complicated, then you probably don’t really know the developers of this game. The update to the pixilated but super habit-forming game brings it to the multi-player dimension which is both more fun and also more frustrating, when all you really want to do is cross the busy streets without going splat.

You can now play with three other players once you’ve all updated to the new version. And all four of you have to do it all at the same time. It’s not going to look pretty because you’re not in it to help each other out. You will actually have to go all competitive because you need to be the last man, or rather chicken, standing and so you will probably result to blocking and shoving and waiting for them to go splat. Just make sure you don’t go splat yourself in your quest to sabotage the other three players.

However, this new feature is still limited as it only allows local multiplayer, hopefully just for now. This means the all four players would have to be on the same WiFi to be able to play together. Imagine how awesome it would be if you could just play with anyone in the world. Let’s hope the next update will bring this improvement.

We’re not sure if the other variant of Crossy Road, the Disney Crossy Road, will also eventually have multi-player support. It would also be fun to see various famous Disney characters battle it out on the streets and to the virtual death. Go update your original Crossy Road on the Google Play Store for now.
