Nursing Home Management is great, well it can be.
Shoestring budgets aren't great, nor are directors breathing down your neck. CQC expecting you to evidence every little thing is, well that's sensible, but it is also rubbish when there's a million and one other things you'd like to be making sure is done/doing yourself.
Most of which involve putting in to practice great ideas to improve the quality of life for that lovely group of over 65's, who you rarely get to spend any time with any more.
Lord knows the reason why every other week is 60 hours long, is because you care so deeply about them.
Could your situation be better?
In 90% of care home companies the answer is no. Registered management means all of the above, plus motivating by hook or by crook, a sometimes reluctant team to bend over backwards, or bending over backwards yourself.

You'd manage a place like that in exchange for a meagre £45000 per year plus bells and whistles, wouldn't you?
Especially if your staff were paid over the odds and had access to one of the best training programmes the industry has ever seen.
