Delays on Isle of Wight ferries after man is taken ill
Ferries between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight were delayed after a man suffered a medical emergency.

The elderly man was on board the St Clare, a Wightlink ferry, when he was taken ill today.
Staff on the vessel, which was the midday sailing from Fishbourne to Gunwharf Quays, called the emergency services.

Hide AdAn ambulance met the ship at Gunwharf and he was taken to hospital at 12.43pm.
A spokeswoman from the company said that some services had been delayed, while diversions were put in place to Portsmouth International Port.
