Meanwhile in the U.S., Franklin Graham, son of iconic evangelist Billy Graham, is finding a massive response among American Christians with the announcement that ISIS has triggered biblical Armageddon and the triumph of Christianity. One of his Facebook posts on the matter has already received nearly 150,000 likes and over 40,000 shares:

A Most Unsettling Trend: Christians Rejoicing in ISIS

So if you are a fundy christian then even the cloud of ISIS has a silver lining - it is heralding the apocalypse - for which you are apparently supposed to be grateful!!

The implications would be comical if not so barbarous - can you imagine fundy christians funding (sic) ISIS to ensure they are not defeated??

To be honest I can imagine it.....nothing about the new theocracy seems too extreme any more!!

I guess every cloud no matter how dark it is has a silver lining .

Who is funding IS, did you say Christians are?
I cant find the link or report.
I would be interested to see it.

Also as an atheist , they have no hope in an afterlife, Christians have every hope in God there is a difference.
Christians dont value their lives like atheists do, our hope is not here, its not this life.

and yes we do welcome the apocalypse, the return of Jesus, justice, redemption and peace. Its sad some haven't chosen a relationship with God but thats a choice.

The cloud doesnt have a silver lining, it has the promise of God, just because this life is all you have that doesnt mean we all have to be like you.

What if you are wrong and your lot rejoicing Armageddon is a massive mistake.
You lot are willing to bet on the human race because you think you are all right?.
This is why we should not let any religious nut who think like this in power.
People like this want it to happen...just to prove their club is right.
When the bombs drop and your Christ doesn't turn up we will put you against the wall.

The sooner the world ends, the better.
Then the rest of us can go about out daily business.

Christians dont value their lives like atheists do, our hope is not here, its not this life.

Such a contrast towards what some other Christians say about how our lives are ultimately meaningless as the result of being atheists. Thanks. That's a refreshing change of pace.

...while I am sure most Christians have similar meaning and value in their Earthly lives as the non-religious, there is something to be said about the overall effect the belief ones true value and purpose is not here, but in an afterlife, ultimately has on their terrestrial experience.

Also as an atheist , they have no hope in an afterlife

Sweet! Not going to Hell after all!

Its sad some haven't chosen a relationship with God

...and the billion Hindus that picked the wrong one too, right?

Idiot. The world is full of them. It almost makes me sad to be Christian sometimes, even though lately I've been moving away from organized religion and now towards just belief in God it ask makes me sad.
ISIS may be one of the signs of Armageddon but that doesn't mean they should be gargoyle about it. Despite my belief I'm still a little terrified thinking about what will come to pass. Oh well I guess it'll just play our like it was meant to and all we can do is pray and hope.

God bless

Easy there cowboy, dont get in a tizz.

If I am wrong then I get...what everyone else gets, bombed and or put up against a wall.
But at least it wont be me putting people up against a wall.

I wont bet on the human race I have read history.

Just remember some non religious nuts in power started stuff like this, I see many fundamental atheists who are just as evil.
Even what you say makes me think you want to pull the trigger. Understand hypocrisy at all.

So no one else matters because you believe you're on your way to heaven. Doesn't sound like "love thy neighbour" to me.

How do you arrive at that assumption.
I am stating that this life is not as important as atheists believe it to be, nothing more nothing less.

There is a hell and hell is separation from relationship with God. Dont chose separation, its hell.

You said you welcome the apocalypse, in other words the destruction of humanity and the world . You don't care if people die, you welcome it because you believe you are going to heaven. Sounds pretty arrogant and lacking love to me.

Yes of course I welcome the return of Christ.
If I say the lords Prayer I ask Gods Kingdom to come and His will be done.
It would be hypocritical to say otherwise.

I am not asking for God to return as a destroyer but as a liberator and its not just for me, its a desire for world peace, that will only happen through Jesus and His return.

Are you a Christian?

You're not asking for god to return as a destroyer? Yet..

"and yes we do welcome the apocalypse, the return of Jesus, justice, redemption and peace. "

Describe in your eyes the nature of this apocalypse and justice towards the non-Christians, atheists, and the unrepentant.

Here is the Facebook comment from Franklin Graham for those who didn´t seen it :

The evil of ISIS really shouldn’t shock us--it is fully in keeping with their ultimate agenda of hastening a final apocalypse. God’s Word tells us that there will be a final battle one day, but it will result in the defeat of Satan and all those allied with him. One thing is for sure—one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Source

By reading it to be honest i do not see the Rejoicing as you mention on your OP, unless you mean the End of the World message. It´s not that is something new.

The wording of your OP Title however somehow implies that Christians are rejoicing with the atrocities of the ISIS. Since English is not my mother language, i apologizing if i didn´t understood it correctly.

The implications would be comical if not so barbarous - can you imagine fundy christians funding (sic) ISIS to ensure they are not defeated??

Better. Can you imagine anti-religionists, funding both sides to ensure their eradication ?

To be honest I can imagine it.....nothing about the new theocracy seems too extreme any more!!

Yeah!! Nothing about the coming of a new world order seems too extreme.

Peace

Are you finally waking up to the fact that Christianity isn't about "love they neighbor"?

and how will this so-called liberation happen? Through the destruction of the world. You worship the anti-christ who claims to be peace but bring destruction like I warned in my other thread many christians and muslims are already praying for. You probably believe in the yahweh the false war god too

So sad that people are praying for the destruction of the world. They are wolves in sheeps clothing claiming to be peaceful but carry darkness and destruction in their hearts.

The Jesus who brings death and destruction is the anti-Christ

I understand Boymonkey this is a very emotional topic for you.
Irrespective it would be more helpful if you put a little more effort in explaining yourself.

Its sad to me the world is in a terrible state, not only is it getting difficult, we are told it will be getting beyond liveable.

The apocalypse is brought on by man not God, Jesus comes to end it. Jesus comes to start it all over again, this time without the evil.

The funny thing is the Middle East has been oppressed by the West since the beginning of time, it is still being oppressed, is it any wonder why the IS is growing.

Yes BM, me, but thats denying you are involved as well, we are all responsible
People like you just want to run around pointing their grubby little maulers at everyone else and denying their own responsibility, you are no saint, you are no better than anyone else.

Good luck with that

Please dont bother me again.
