Tom Brady named Super Bowl XLIX MVP

tombrady

Tom Brady has joined Joe Montana as the only three-time winners of the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player.

Brady was named Super Bowl XLIX MVP after leading the Patriots to a 28-24 victory over the Seahawks. Brady was previously the MVP of Super Bowl XXXVI and Super Bowl XXXVIII.

Although Brady struggled at times and threw two interceptions, he also marched the Patriots down the field to score the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Brady completed 37 of 50 passes for 328 yards, with four touchdowns. His 37 completions were a Super Bowl record, and Brady also became the career record holder for Super Bowl touchdown passes.

For Brady, the MVP award is yet another major accomplishment in a Hall of Fame career. No player has played great in big games more often than Brady.
