Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne has capitalized off an opportunity to throw some shade at estranged Cash Money mentor Birdman this week.
Asked about Baby’s appearance on ESPN’s “Highly Questionable” Tuesday (June 28), Wayne used some wordplay to clown the YMCMB executive.
Baby sparked headlines Tuesday (June 28) after appearing on the popular ESPN show.

A few weeks ago, footage surfaced of Wayne going off on his record label and Baby.
“Before I go any further, I want y’all to know I got two new albums coming y’all way. Real quick, let me hear you say, ‘F*ck the bullsh*t.’ Say ‘F*ck the world.’ Say ‘F*ck the Birdman.’ And ‘F*ck Cash Money.’ … I’m going through a lot of bullsh*t right now. These n*ggas got me in bars right now, they don’t want to see me make good music. I don’t know what the f*ck’s going on, but f*ck them n*ggas and I just want you to know, if anything – if you thought for any second I gave a f*ck about it I can’t because I got people like y’all that still support me.”
Last week, reports claimed Wayne and Birdman’s business problems had resurfaced.
Now we know why Lil Wayne started a “F*** Cash Money” chant at his last concert — all talks of settling his $51 million lawsuit are off, and Wayne’s laying blame directly at Birdman’s feet. Sources connected to the label tell TMZ … settlement talks broke off within the last month. (TMZ)
