While opposition parties, news channels, and public at large have been left perplexed over the outrageously comical remarks, rebukes, and rebuttals by Kiran Bedi, as a run-up to the Delhi Vidhan Sabha elections, Mocktale sources have revealed the mystery behind Bedi’s outlandish statements.
Kiran Bedi’s retirement plans post her service in the police force has been to be a successful stand-up comic.
“But her image as a tough taskmaster has always come in the way,” said a close confidant of Kiran Bedi. According to her friends and peers, she has the talent of blurting out the most ridiculous statements while keeping a straight face.
Her comment, “BJP ka sadasya bano, Republic Day pe front row seat pakki!” left every Delhiite in splits. Her approach to comedy is a little different, as her supporters claim. She comes across as earnest while also being jibberish and confused. It takes a little time to warm up to her sense of humour, but once you do, the stomach is bound to get hurt with the incessant laughter.
Our sources have also found out that ever since BJP has declared Kiran Bedi as the chief ministerial candidate for their party, the country’s established stand-up comics are starting to feel threatened.
“Who needs a ‘Weirdass’ when you have Kiran Bedi,” said a popular stand-up comic and film actor on the condition of anonymity. He continued, “Why would anyone pay for a ticket in our stand-up comic act when you can simply attend Kiran Bedi's rally for free and get all the laughter you want!”
BJP has been quick to support Kiran Bedi and all her ridiculously funny statements all this while. An insider in the party has revealed that it has been a strategic movement on behalf of the party. “The high command in the party felt that we had lost touch with our sense of humour. After all, if AAP can have their Kumar Vishwas, why can’t we have someone who was even funnier? And when we heard Kiran Bedi we knew she was indeed the best stand-up comic for our party.”
