Destroyed by Business
D-E-S-T-R-O-Y-E-D
Destroyed by business
It's not personal; it's just business
It's like doing something
Then writing it down just so it can get crossed off the list.
Destroyed by business
It's not personal; it's just business.

Camouflage Liquids Now
You will stare at ruin, and ruin will return the favor,
Teeth dripping with the anticipation of an octopus in its favorite environment.
It's secreting its camouflage liquids now. Let's watch.
It's not personal; it's just business.
We're so fluid and liquid - Can you feel the flow?
That's your fault; you fell for the advertisement.
You must've been pretty desperate to believe that.
We lobbied our congressmen;
We made sure we got no problems when it comes to ruining you.
What happens next is your problem. We know; we got your data.
We're so fluid and liquid - Can you feel the flow?
People like you will be destroyed by business . . .
It's written all over your face and your data . . .

Delayed Pressure Urticaria Plus
Problem avalanche / Problems earthquake – stomp stomp.
All the wrong problems / A murder of problems /
The insurmountable problems of someone you love
Nearing the end of life. Battalion of problems.
Assassin problems out-man you and out-gun you.
Assassin problems that hit the lymphatic system
Are going for the world record.
Invisible and massless fears compound the fierceness of the problems
That lash from the inside out, and the welts borne of problems
And waiting room chairs
Now spread so that you can't stand, sit, or lie down.
Assassin problems out-man you and out-gun you.
Assassin problems that hit the lymphatic system
Are going for the world record.
You can't stand. You can't sit. You can't lie down to rest from
the problems, because you need rest from the problems
so that you can fight against them
again tomorrow.

That's Some Bleak Sh*t
Maladies pile up. Feet deform before our eyes,
And you got a back that does the same.
Some sort of dementia seems to be
starting to get a grip on you now.
We can't tell what it is for sure
But the possibilities are all bleak.
A few bills a month, you will take the penalty
Because you got no choice (and a diminishing voice).
Social Security only comes once a month
And there's only so much (a pitiful amount, really).
The reverse mortgage is empty
And there will never be any equity
In that skinny 3-story condominium.
We can't figure it all out for sure
But the possibilities are all bleak.
Safety net ain't so safe when the safety net is all you got.
That's some bleak sh*t.

Too Tough to Resist
The medical vortex of endless tests and co-pays
Bounces you around like a pinball
Magnet to magnet, disappointment to disappearing
A few days from your email account.
The times you want to cry you can't
Because your mix of meds seems pretty wrong.
Doctors don't listen, and you are too flustered to speak
What needs to be hammered into them just so it finally sticks.
All that easy money is just too tough to resist.
I look at my darling wife, your daughter,
And I loosely clutch her chin and say
“All that easy money is just too tough to resist.
It's their bread and butter.
It's not personal; it's just business.
People like you and me will be destroyed by business;
It's written all over our faces.”
It's just business . . .
