JENNINGS, MO (KTVI) – A 15 year-old girl reported being abducted, and narrowly escaping, in Jennings Thursday afternoon.
The girl’s father, Robert Henderson, says it all started Wednesday morning, when a man in a white van approached her at the bus stop, on 367 and Jennings Station Road, behind the Regions bank.  The man reportedly tried to talk to her, asking her where she lived and where she went to school. But then, the bus showed up, so she got on, and got away.
When the bus dropped her off Wednesday afternoon, her father says the van was there again. She ran away.  On Thursday morning, there was no sign of the van. But that afternoon, when she got off the bus, her father says the man drove up, grabbed her and brought her into the van.
According to the girl, they drove around, until they got to a cemetery, somewhere off 367.  Henderson says, “She got away before he could restrain her. But he did get her out of the van, and started cutting her clothes off. He had a knife the whole time while he was driving, he had a knife in his hand. And he said, you’re going to be my victim, you’re going to be mine tonight.”
According to her father, the girl ran through some woods until she spotted a car. The driver helped her call police.
The alleged abductor is a black male in his 40s, with a stocky build and a goatee.  St. Louis County police say they took a report and description of the suspect, and are investigating.
