Walmart is kicking off Cyber Monday a day early this year

This year marks the 10th Cyber Monday since the marketing term was introduced. Walmart decided to honor the tradition by launching its post-Thanksgiving sale early, at 8PM ET on Sunday, November 29.

Blame the Web for this blasphemy. Walmart CEO Fernando Madeira told Reuters, “The customers have changed but Cyber Monday hasn’t changed with them. Now everyone has internet.”

The megastore will launch 2,000 online-only specials on Sunday night, which include LG 4K TVs and Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 at discounted prices.

Adobe’s analysis predicts that Cyber Monday sales will hit $3 billion in the US for the first time in 2015, up 12 percent from last year.
