Male victims of physical and sexual abuse are the latest people to benefit from an Internet site set up by the East Sheen-based Suzy Lamplugh Trust.
The web site was launched as part of the Trust's personal safety week.
It has been put together by the trust in conjunction with outside agencies including Victim Support and the Westminster Youth and Community Unit.
Trust director Diana Lamplugh said: "We have developed the web site to ensure our personal safety advice continues to be available to as many people as possible.
"Statistics show use of the Internet is male dominated so it seemed the ideal forum to launch some new advice for men."
Commander David Kendrick, chairman of the Metropolitan Police Sexual Offences Steering Group, welcomed the new initiative.
"The Metropolitan Police is working in partnership with other agencies to look at the issue of male victims of sexual abuse. We support any initiative which contributes to personal safety."
The new site contains information on personal safety and training and can be reached on www.suzylamplugh.org.
