Any parent knows that a full blown toddler tantrum can push them to the limit.

Before having children you are blissfully unaware just how much you can ruin a child's day simply by slicing up fruit the wrong way, choosing the wrong shoes or heaven forbid handing over a pink cup when they wanted a blue one.

How very dare you!

Well we asked Manchester mums to share their best tantrum photos and they certainly didn't disappoint.

From little Max Hook, from Droylsden, who stayed in the bathroom crying for an hour because his mum flushed his poo down the toilet...

...to two-year-old Aodhan Quinn who sat and screamed in temper because his mum couldn't stop his shadow following him, we've been inundated with snaps of your feisty toddlers.

And if you think you've had it tough with one tantrum-prone toddler then spare a thought for mum-of-three Natalie Peters, who has suffered numerous meltdowns from her two youngest sons Lukas, four, and Zak, two.

She sent us a whole series of tantrum photos showing both boys from around 18 months old.

First was Lukas crying because his mum put the wrong carrot on his fork...

He spilt some milk down himself...

Wrong carrot again...

He didn't want to sit on Santa's knee...

and finally - because he climbed in a box.

And just when Lukas' tantrums had started to die down, Zak began following in his brother's stamping footsteps.

He had a meltdown when his cracker broke in half...

When he wanted his jacket on. He wanted his jacket off. He wanted his jacket on. He wanted his jacket off...

He wanted to keep throwing his fork on the floor...

He wanted his boots on (they're already on)...

And lastly when he wanted to get out of the other car door...

We all know that's the end of the world.

Mum Natalie, from Stockport , said: "They are 16 months apart and Zak took over the tantrums from Lukas who was champion.

"The tantrums were hard until I learnt to laugh at them. That's the reason for all the photos, they kept me sane and in the end Lukas learnt to snap out of the tantrum to look at the photos.

"I love to look back now, some of them were so comical."

And just to prove that family life ain't all about frayed tempers, here's Natalie with her three boys together - and they're all smiling. Give that mum a medal.

If you've got a tantrum photo to share then post it under the story on our Manchester Family facebook page - and don't forget to tell us your child's name and the reason for their protest.
