Jose Mourinho faces a trip to Bournemouth in his first Premier League game as Manchester United manager.

The Portuguese coach, appointed as Louis van Gaal's successor last month, will start at Dean Court on the weekend of August 13/14. The 53-year-old's first competitive game at Old Trafford will be against Southampton on August 20.

Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will face off as managers of United and City for the first time in a competitive game in the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on September 10 with the return game at the Etihad Stadium on February 25.

The former Chelsea boss will be back at Stamford Bridge on October 22 - a week after United play Liverpool at Anfield.

United play Sunderland at home on Boxing Day, Middlesbrough at home on New Year's Eve and West Ham away on January 2.

They end their season with a home game against Crystal Palace on May 21 after a tricky run-in with Arsenal and Tottenham away on consecutive weekends in May.

Mourinho's first official game in charge will be a friendly on the pre-season tour of China against Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai on July 22 before a meeting with Guardiola and City in Beijing on July 25.

United have also scheduled Wayne Rooney's testimonial against Everton at Old Trafford for Wednesday, August 3 with the Community Shield against Leicester at Wembley four days later on Sunday, August 7.

United will find out who they will play in the Europa League group stage when the draw is made in Monaco on August 26. The first game is scheduled for September 15 with the final group game on December 8.
