Soccer Aid is a man down today after McFly star Danny Jones suffered a painful injury.

The singer has dropped out of the star-studded charity football match after fracturing his elbow during training but he will be at Old Trafford today to support his Soccer Aid teammates.

The Shine a Light and Star Girl singer Instagrammed a photo of himself looking disappointed with his arm in a sling as well as a series of images documenting the aftermath.

Danny wrote beside a picture of his arm in a sling: “Fractured my elbow! Gutted is an understatement.

“All the team have looked after me @socceraid thanks guys. I’ll be there Sunday to support the guys. Cmon England!!”

He later posted a picture of himself with a specialist who gave him a new sling with the message “checked over by the specialist” next to a cheering person emoji.

And he shared a photo of himself with the England team doctor outside the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
