Pregnant Stephanie Davis has told how having a baby has saved her life.

The former Hollyoaks actress says in this week’s issue of OK! Magazine that she was suicidal - but finding out that she was expecting has given her something to live for.

She also tells OK! that ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell has a new girlfriend and won’t be there for the birth of their child.

She said: “I wouldn’t be alive now if it wasn’t for this baby.”

The brunette actress and singer, a regular on the Manchester social scene, added: “It’s been the worst time of my life but this baby has saved my life - I was suicidal but it gave me something to live for.”

Stephanie, who was axed from her role as Sinead O’Connor on Hollyoaks, says the baby will have her surname.

She also tells how she has the cystic fibrosis gene and fears that the baby could be born with it if Jeremy is a carrier too.

Stephanie Davis shows off her baby bump for the first time on the cover of OK!

She says the Irish model, who she met and fell for in the Celebrity Big Brother house, is going to give a blood sample so that they can find out.

The Celebrity Big Brother finalist beams with pride as she cups her growing stomach on the front of this week’s OK! in a photo that shows her bump for the first time.

After sharing a photo of the cover on her Twitter feed, she tweeted triumphantly: “And to all them trolls, haters and nasty people who have not let me enjoy my pregnancy,u can see my bump & my scan when u buy a copy! upyours.”

Last month Steph claimed that a troll was “absolutely disgusting” for suggesting she was lying about becoming a mum.

She responded: “Absolutely disgusting! This is why I’m not sharing any photo as there’s so many vile people!”
