Former Coronation Street favourite Michelle Keegan raced through Manchester Piccadilly station as she filmed scenes for the army drama Our Girl.

The brunette actress from Salford held hands with her co-star for the dramatic scenes which sees her character and handsome love interest running to catch a train.

Passengers were amazed when an announcement was made that filming was taking place in the station, and they were told to carry on as normal as the drama unfolded around them at 3pm today.

Earlier that morning Michelle travelled from Piccadilly to London for filming onboard the train.

Michelle, who played murdered Tina McIntyre in Corrie, has previously been spotted kissing the same hunky co-star in her army uniform while filming the BBC show, and she was snapped having a wedding day tantrum in a Stretford street in her role as army medic Corporal Georgie Lane in the hard-hitting series.

This time her character looked to be in panic as the couple dashed to catch a train.

An onlooker said: “It looked like they were running away from something and had to catch a train.”

These scenes have all been shot shortly after celebrating her first wedding anniversary with real-life husband Mark Wright.

The pair starting dating in 2012 and tied the knot in Suffolk on May 24 2015.

Michelle shared an image of the loved-up couple walking down the aisle on her Instragram page. And Heart radio presenter and former The Only Way Is Essex star Mark marked the occasion with a photograph of a dessert with the words ‘Happy Anniversary’ written in chocolate sauce.
