A young woman has been found dead three months after her brother’s violent death at a Salford University halls of residence.

Gini Lound gave the eulogy at the funeral of her brother William Lound, who was found stabbed to death at university accommodation in February.

William, a talented IT student who was originally from Southport, was found dead at student flats in the Blackfriars area of Salford in February.

But tragically, Gini, 28, has now been found dead at a shop store in Southport at the weekend.

A spokesman for Merseyside Police said a woman’s body had been found at a Southport convenience store in Bury Road on Sunday evening. They said the death was being treated as non-suspicious.

A family friend told the M.E.N.: “It is very sad. Gini had been so strong at William’s funeral.”

Gini lead mourners and acted as a pall bearer at a funeral service in Southport. She gave the eulogy to a packed congregation, described him as ‘kind, generous’ and ‘unique’.

She told the congregation: “The world has lost a very able young man who had a lot to give not only in terms of his career but to others whose lives he touched.

“Will was one of life’s nice guys. Granted he could be annoying, but can’t we all. Will was always, even as a very young child, kind, generous and thoughtful.

“Will really did care about the world and other people. My brother was unique and the world is a sadder place without his wit and charm.”

She told mourners that William was a talented young man with a rebellious streak who spoke fluent French, Arabic, and Spanish.

He was also a skilled trumpet player and spent time travelling around the country busking with a group of New Age travellers.

He had spent two years in the Merchant Navy, studied IT at City of Liverpool College, before being offered a scholarship at the University of Salford where he was in his first year of a Computer Science degree.

William suffered multiple stab wounds to his back and neck.

His body was discovered on Monday, February 8 in the first floor flat at Bramwell Court, on Cannon Street.

Lee Arnold, 36, of no fixed abode has been charged with his murder and is due to stand trial in August.
