Part of the Trafford Centre was evacuated after reports of a fire in a restaurant kitchen.
Three fire engines were called just before 1pm on Sunday afternoon. Carluccio's restaurant in the Orient Food Court was affected.
Fire crews dealt with the blaze and people were allowed back in around 30 minutes later.
There were no reports of anyone receiving any injuries.
The food court has now re-opened.
The Trafford Centre said in a statement: "The Orient and Great Hall have now reopened following a short evacuation due to a small fire in the kitchen at Carluccios.
"The fire brigade quickly responded and the fire was contained. We’d like to thank everyone involved for their cooperation during the incident. All our other food outlets are now trading normally."

People were evacuated to just outside the main doors of the Orient Food Hall.
It is now re-opening.
Fire started in an oven
Firefighters at the scene say the blaze started in an oven at Carluccio’s.
Three fire engines are still there.

People are sharing on social media that they’ve been evacuated from the food court area.
However, it does seem that the Trafford Centre social media team say other shops are still open.

Manchester Fire said they sent three engines.
“Three fire engines @traffordcentre following a call at 12.40pm... Standby for more”
The fire is believed to have broken out in the kitchen of Carluccio’s, which is on the ground floor of the food court. No word yet on how serious it was.
