Balikatan public affairs officer Capt. Celeste Frank Sayson said the M142 High-Mobility Artillery Rocket System launched its practice rockets between 8 and 9 a.m., on Monday. The US military said that the training rounds had a maximum range of 15 kilometers, and were ballasted with non-explosive material.
This is the first time US forces fired the HIMARS in Philippine soil.
