Rob LaMoreaux:

Mr. LaMoreaux’s is Principal Engineer at Southwest Research Institute. At SwRI, he has developed a wide range of products for automotive research applications. These include power electronics for fuel injection and ignition as well as a small engine controller for unmanned aerial vehicles. Rob developed robust Simulink-based Spark Ignition Engine Control code. His experience includes leading programs to develop products for data acquisition, control, testing and combustion analysis of internal combustion engines and powertrains. He received his BSE in Electrical Engineering from U-M in 1986.

Darcy Turner:

Darcy Turner currently works for the Office of the Chief Information Officer at U-M as Project Director of Strategy and Planning for all University IT Services. She graduated in 1992 with a BS in Industrial and Operations Engineering. She has worked as a consultant with Andersen Consulting (Accenture) for seven years and focused on implementing PeopleSoft HR software for companies across the United States. She joined the University of Michigan in 1999 to help implement the PeopleSoft HCM software and then was offered the role of Assistant Director of HRMS Products & Services (HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Labor and Performance Support).

Chad Neumann:

Chad is a Balance of Plant and Fuel Handling Design Engineer at Adaptive Materials Inc. and has strong expertise in fuel cell development, handling, test validation, and diffusion systems. He earned his BSE in Mechanical Engineering from U-M in 2009.

Gene Cox:

Gene Cox is a Design Engineer for Ford Motor Company where he has spent the last 20 years of his career. His current duties include facilitating and leading engineering teams for cost metrics, quality improvement, and customer satisfaction. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MSU and a Masters from U-M in Automotive Sub-systems in 1999.

Charles Hart:

Charles Hart is an Associate for the engineering consulting firm Hubbell, Roth & Clark, Inc. He specializes in roadway and utility projects and is currently serving as project manager for the Wayne County Airport Authority East Service Drive Reconstruction Project at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Mr. Hart holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from U-M and is a member of the American Public Works Association, American Society of Civil Engineers and the Transportation Research Board.

Paul Joss:

As the General Manager of AICON Americas Inc. in Plymouth, Michigan, Paul Joss is responsible for sales and support of AICON products throughout North & South America. Paul has been applying optical metrology to address engineering challenges across various market sectors for over 18 years. Paul previously held roles in marketing, product management and project management roles in the field of automated non-contact gauging, experienced the hardship of an unsuccessful entrepreneurial endeavor, worked as an engineer doing computational fluid dynamics and held critical roles within aviation and educational technology companies. Paul holds a BSE in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and a MBA from Lawrence Technological University.

Andrew Banka:

Andrew Banka is Vice-President of Airflow Sciences Corporation, an engineering consulting company in Livonia, MI. He has worked with the company ever since completing a summer internship with them in 1984, joining the staff as an engineer upon graduation. Mr. Banka’s experience at ASC includes development and application of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) programs, development of experimental test systems, project management, sales and marketing, and company management. He is Vice-Chair of the Technical & Planning committee of ASM International and has co-authored several papers and articles on the application of CFD methods to materials processing techniques. Mr. Banka received his BSE in Aerospace Engineering from U-M in 1985.
