Christian vlogger Sam Rader has admitted to having an Ashley Madison account in an online confession after Daily Mail Online revealed he was a paying subscriber to the cheating website.

In a new YouTube video and accompanying caption, the father-of-two - whose alleged miscarriage video with his wife, Nia, went viral this month - admits he is a 'sinner - and a hopeless one at that'.

He says that he set up an account on the website two years ago - before he started vlogging - with the intention of having an affair, but 'never came to close' to actually being with another woman.

He adds that both his spouse and God have forgiven him for his actions, which were driven by 'pure fleshly desire and sinful curiosity'. 'So I've been completely cleansed of this sin,' he insists.

Mr Rader, 29, allegedly made two $189 payments to the infidelity service - which has 37million users - in September 2013, according to stolen data shared by hackers and seen by Daily Mail Online.

This is the same month that his second child was born and he celebrated four years of marriage with his 26-year-old wife. Another four $14 payments were listed under his name on the database.

In his video confession, Mr Rader acknowledges his name has been linked to an Ashley Madison account and says he wants to 'clarify' the claims because he 'owes it' to his YouTube followers.

Looking somber and with Mrs Rader sitting behind him, he says: 'I did make the account. I made the account two years ago. This is an issue that is in our past. This was before I got onto YouTube.

'I brought this to our church at the time, when I first started… this was brought to my wife's attention. She has forgiven me for this mistake that I have made in opening the account.

'I sought forgiveness to God and he has forgiven me. So I've been completely cleansed of this sin.'

As Mrs Rader watches her husband intently, Mr Rader goes on to stress that he has 'never met with a single person face-to-face' through the website and has never had an affair during his marriage.

'I need to be clear that I never had an affair with anybody ever while I've been married,' he says.

'This account was opened out of pure fleshly desire and just simple curiosity.'

He adds that even Christians are 'broken people' who can sin.

At the end of the footage, titled 'Forgiven', Mrs Rader herself says a few words.

'I have forgiven Sam and I stand behind him. This is in our past and it's unfortunate that it's being dug up right now but our marriage is worth fighting for and it always will be,' she says.

She also urges other married couples who are going through similar issues to not give up.

'Marriage is the real deal,' she says, before placing her hand lovingly on her husband's shoulder.

In the caption of the video, Mr Rader further explains his actions two years ago, writing: 'It was clearly a bad moment in my life and I acted on a sinful desire to be with another woman.'

He adds: 'It’s easy to watch our [YouTube] channel and think of us as a perfect family, but that’s simply far from actual reality. However, I am definitely not the man that I was then.

'I pursue my relationship with Christ on a daily basis and have since been involved in a weekly discipleship. We have our issues with sin like anyone else in the world. This is just one instance of my fallen self, one example of my imperfection and my fleshly desires.

'I will let you down, your friends and family will let you down, and yourself will let you down, just as I have let myself and family down. But Christ doesn’t let anyone down, which is why we are called to put our identity in Him and nothing and nobody else.

'My wife and I plan to move forward as normal with our vlog, as we will not allow Satan any foothold in our lives. I have no doubts that we will continue to be attacked and shamed as we live our lives for Jesus in the public eye. It’s the reality of our humanness.'

'I AM A SINNER': VLOGGER SAM RADER'S WRITTEN YOUTUBE CONFESSION

'The bible tells us in James to confess our sins to one another and to pray for one another. I am a sinner, and a hopeless one at that. In no way do I meet the expectations of God for my life.  I fall short of all his commands and I choose to disobey him repeatedly at my own consequences, which is why I am in such need of a savior like Jesus.

'I feel ashamed of what I have to admit but I think it’s more than necessary for my dedicated followers, those who have entrusted their time and love in our family.

'Over 2 years ago I did create the Ashely (sic) Madison account. To be clear this was only an account I used to navigate the site in my sinful curiosity and any messages or data pulled from that account would be evidence of that. I absolutely did not meet up or see another woman from the site. It was clearly a bad moment in my life and I acted on a sinful desire to be with another woman but never came close to going through with it.

'You won’t see or witness any perfection from my family and especially not from myself.

'I hope you are praying for one another and you pray for me. I do not plan to comment or say anything else about this situation. I am very sorry for my actions and regret it immensely.

'Our family would like to move on despite the hatred and criticism that will certainly ensue.

'Thank you for listening and thank you for your understanding and forgiveness in this matter.'

In the first video, reported internationally, Sam went into the bathroom after Nia, who supposedly forgot to flush. He dropped a pregnancy test in the toilet and, when it flashed positive, broke the news to Nia - on camera.

Just days later, they released a second video, tearfully informing their fans that Nia had miscarried. The video went viral.

Critics questioned the validity of Nia's miscarriage, which came just days after Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan spoke out about their miscarriages, making it a headline issue.

Proud Christians, the Raders hit back claiming their detractors were targeting them for their faith.

In a previous video, Sam spoke about values and his love for Nia.

'I want to be the man that I want my daughter to marry,' he tells viewers.
