Dinorah: "Dani Alves remains open to staying at Barcelona when his contract ends"

Dinorah Santa Ana is the ex-partner and agent of Dani Alves. The Brazilian right-back's contract ends this June and he has still not decided his future.

He may yet decide to stay at Camp Nou. Speaking to SPORT, Dinorah has given some clues on his future:

"Dani has not proposed that he wants to continue at Barça or that he wants to leave. He is open to both things.

"We are not thinking that he has to take this decision based on the fact Barça are unable to sign players until next January.

"That's for Barça to think about.

"If there is an offer, two or three of us will sit down, talk about it, and then decide."

What she would confirm, though, is that Alves's dedication to Barça remains complete and that will continue while he has a contract with the club:

"Dani Alves has always been true to the club in how he has been and that's demonstrated by his trajectory here.

"Right now he has no preferences [over his future].

"The only thing he is clear about is that he has to work hard for Barça until June and that's it.

"He gets up everyday to train, with the intention of being the best he can be and helping the team -- everything else he leaves to me.

"This extrenal pressure about his future doesn't get us anywhere."

In this sense, Dinorah, who is also the majority shareholder of UE Sant Andreu, defended the quality of Dani and the importance of him feeling loved in the team.

"Even though it can sound arrogant, Dani is the best right-back in the world, whatever they say -- even if he hasn't been chosen this year.

"He doesn't have to be worried, because he will have work.

"He wants to be in a place where he is loved and where he can feel comfotable; if that's not the case, well, he wouldn't be there.

"Here he doesn't feel bad and he is training well, but at the moment they have not spoke to him about renewing.

"That doesn't influence anything, though.

"What influences him is to know if he's going to continue living in Barcelona or not; where are his kids going to live next year... nothing more."
